A Perfect Yellow Rose is my attempt to evoke and celebrate the miracle of surise and the flower that reflects its radiant color.
For me, the yellow rose derives some of its value from the fact that the most important women in my life - my wife Nanette and my beautiful daughters have in common beautiful hair of a buttery gold hue. Nanette has always been especially fond of roses, and yellow roses are a token of our love. As I apply the radiant pigments to my painting of
A Perfect Yellow Rose, I am reminded again of the love that has filled my life with blessings.
